Just over a week after the wedding at Prestonfield Hotel I photographed a wedding for Diane and John at Lothian Chambers. I’m becoming a bit of a regular at Lothian Chambers and Diane and John came over from ireland for their wedding.
I really enjoy photographing weddings at Lothian Chambers. I know the venue inside out and I know exactly how to light the inside so I spend little time worrying about anything technical and just shoot. Anyway, this time I decided to use more flash than I have done before. Sadly on the day of Diane and John’s wedding the weather was very Scottish. It rained like crazy during the ceremony and after we had gone to their reception at the Rutland Hotel and I had a beer with them (thanks guys!) it stopped raining. Typical Scottish weather!
So here are my favourite captures from the day. John was quite nervous at first but relaxed a bit towards the end but Diane was a pleasure to work with. The family was also really pleasant and the baby at the wedding was absolutely adorable.
I photographed this wedding on my own but when Liv got home much later that night from work as soon as she walked through the door I said to her “I want a baby!”.
