November food photos

Post image for November food photos

November for myself has been pretty quiet photography wise. I shot one wedding and have been busy shooting more of St Johns graveyard/church but have otherwise been working hard elsewhere, including the back-end and business side of photography. One other issue has been the weather. While I love the snow I hate being cold with a passion and it’s also been none stop snow so long exposures are difficult. I’m also out ten hours a day doing my winter IT job.

Anyway, apart from the snow, wedding, church work and IT work Liv and I did some food photography. For a lot of our photography we use natural light but with the light bounced back in. We don’t own studio lights right now nor do we really have the space for them but with the days getting dark from around 2.30/3pm we’re making fairly quick and easy dishes.

Included below are recipes for Cantonese Style Roast Crackling Pork, Crispy Chicken with Chilli Sauce, Crystal Dumplings and Tan Tsai Noodle.

Here are the successful dishes that Liv cooked in November and we photographed. Just as a note, on her blog; http://eggwansfoododyssey.com she’s doing a lot of the preparation photos for which I simply don’t have the time to do right now. Hope you enjoy.

I love the use of depth of field in the picture of the roast crackling pork!
