In the middle of September I captured a wedding for Natasha and Taz at the Royal Musselburgh Golf Course. I met Taz through work nearly two years ago and when he and his partner Natasha decided to get married he asked if I would be interested in shooting his wedding. Of course! Taz is originally from Zimbabwe and Natasha originates from Iran. Both of them are really lovely people so shooting their wedding was an absolute pleasure.
The day itself was really interesting. Natasha stayed at Ivory House in Gorebridge the night before so I drove down to her and spent a couple hours shooting preparation photos. Natasha also had her son with her who I’ve met before so I ended up being photographer and part time baby carer, which was great fun.
So after the preparation shots I had to drive like an absolute psychopath to the venue where I arrived just a few minutes before the bride.
The venue itself is interesting. There’s a lot of space and the grounds are really pleasant. Sadly the venue is let down by the club members who more than once were really rude to the wedding party. Aside from that the whole day was really great fun. Everyone that I spoke to in the wedding party was really nice and it was good fun.
