On 22nd November 2006 I was comissioned as part of a college project to take any photos of the interior of the Symphony Hall and Town Hall. This was my first big architectural/interior project and I’ve always loved fisheye lenses so I wanted to see what I could come up with. I’m pretty happy with the stills, even though a couple aren’t completely central (difficult as I didn’t have a lot of space in front of the organ) but I was happy with the 360 degree image.
In the future I would like to go back and take a multi row version of this panoramic but who knows
The Symphony Hall in Birmingham is a 2000 plus seater concert and music venue located in the centre of Birminghanm. Opened in April 1991 it hosts around 270 events per year and is one of the truly spectacular venues in Birmingham.
