London car photographer. A couple major things I love are cars and vintage things. I drive a brand new car myself (Jaguar XF) and before that I had a mk7 Golf R (bought 2015, sold just a month ago) and I really do need a modern car as I do a LOT of driving with my job but I do love old fashioned things. While I’m not an art person I do like looking around antique stores, markets and vintage shops but for this shoot I combined cars with old.
Today’s car is an Austin A90 Atlantic built in 1950 that looks simply fabulous. This car is currently owned by A1 Classic Cars in Drem (20 minutes outside of Edinburgh, very close to North Berwick) but A1 have decided to shut down operations (it was almost like a hobby business for them) and it’s now being put up for sale with Historics who do car auctions for older cars.
This car contains the original 2660cc engine and has had a full refurb and must be described as the ultimate summer picnic car. I’m not going to do a sales pitch as that’s nothing to do with me but this is a seriously beautiful car with the most comfortable seats ever. This car is being auctioned here.
