Circus Lane Mews

London Airbnb photographer

Airbnb photographer London. One of the most photogenic streets in Edinburgh is Circus Lane, which resides in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh. If you do a google/flickr/instagram search for pretty or photogenic street you’ll probably see the Royal Mile come up first followed by Circus Lane.

The properties along Circus Lane are called “mews”. If you’ve never heard the term mews before, a mews is a back street originating as far back as the 17th century, to allow access for horses and provide a stable on the lower floor for the horses and living quarters above. These mews streets are too small generally for regular traffic making them quite peaceful but also incredibly photogenic, especially nowadays as mews homeowners often really love decorating their homes both inside and out.

So a couple weeks ago Clive contacted me and asked if I could photograph his home for Airbnb. Clive owns two properties in Edinburgh and alternates between the two but just as so many people are nowadays he’s decided to cash in on the Airbnb market. I believe he initially contacted Airbnb about sending one of their photographers to the property but he was told the lead time could be up to a month, which is frankly ridiculous. I’m busy as hell with work but when Clive contacted me I was busy the following couple days then ready to go. I actually popped over there on a mid Sunday morning.

As you can see his home is really cute and very photogenic. Clive’s home is a two bedroom and I took around 40 or so photos of his home in total and he was really great to meet and chat with.

After I photographed his Circus Lane Mews, I popped over to the Stockbridge Market. I hadn’t been there for at least a year or two but if we’re ever in the area on a Sunday and get parked then we absolutely must pop in for a portion of paella. There’s a paella stand which cooks paella constantly all day and it both smells and tastes absolutely awesome. If you’re in the area on a Sunday, literally follow your nose, you won’t be disappointed.

As mentioned this was photographed in Edinburgh but I have now moved to London. if you’re looking for a Airbnb photographer London, whether it be for photos, videos, floor plans, drone shots, VR tours, or a combination of some or all, please contact me here.
