Hermitage Edinburgh Family Photography. The hermitage is one of my favourite parts of Edinburgh. Edinburgh itself often feels like a country town instead of a city and this comes across in many areas which are very much more countryside than a city. Dean Village is a great example, Holyrood Park to an extent but the hermitage is one of my favourite parts. This sits on the southern city of the city and right. in front of Blackford Hill, which is an immensely popular walking spot for locals.
A few years ago I photographed a wedding for Sophie and Saul, which you can view here on my wedding website, Joyful Weddings, and their wedding was easily one. of my top 5 weddings of all time. They were incredible fun to work with, incredibly nice, and just the absolute perfect clients.
Sophie is from Edinburgh but she lives in the USA with her husband Saul (himself from the USA) and when they contacted me recently and asked if I would like to do a family shoot with them and their young daughter, 100% yes!
Sophie herself grew up around Morningside and even though I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, thousands of people. and numerous other jobs, I’ve never done a photoshoot around the Hermitage.
A real photography dream would be to do a wedding at the Hermitage, that would be amazing, but as usual, Sophie and Saul were an absolute delight to work with and that will do me perfectly.
