Graduation Photography London

Graduation Photography LondonOne of my favourite things about working as a photographer, but also one of the most stressful, is you’ll have little or no work for a couple of weeks then suddenly you’ll book several weddings and also get booked for a portrait job like this.

Take for example the engagement photoshoot I did with Mabel and Miu last year, simply an awesome shoot. Great couple, great fun, and simply awesome. The shoot in the post has the same kind of awesome. Originally Lori, who lives in Detroit, contacted me about taking some graduation photos of her daughter Alison around different locations in Scotland, specific castles.

We discussed time and locations and provisionally agreed that we could go to a couple of different castles in the Edinburgh area but on the day of meeting, I suggested we start taking photos around Edinburgh’s Old Town with a view to moving further out as the photoshoot went along. Alison quickly fell in love with Edinburgh’s Old Town and after a quick discussion, we decided to stick with Old Town initially and then head down to Princes Street Gardens.

Alison who is just 17, was incredibly relaxed in front of the camera and from the first photo looked really pretty. Alison and her parents were an absolute pleasure to work with and I finally did a proper photoshoot in one of my favourite parts of Edinburgh; Dean Village.

Here are some of my favourite photos from this graduation photography London photoshoot.

    Hi Chris-
Just read this post. Thank you so much for the compliments. We had a wonderful time as well. We not only received WONDERFUL photos but also a guided tour of Edinburgh. Thought you would like to know that she was the envy of all her classmates with her graduation photos shot in Scotland!!! We wish you all the best in 2013.
