It’s frightening how time flies. This year has sped through faster than I can believe and I was looking back at some weddings that I never got around to blogging. One of these weddings was my first gay wedding which I photographed late last year. There’s no reason for not blogging this wedding sooner and despite Stephen and Ed booking me for one hour we managed to put together a really lovely set of images.
This wedding also broke new ground for me, apart from the same sex factor, in that it was held at 9.30 on a Monday morning. What a fantastic time to get married! Most people are already in work so town was relatively quiet and for both myself and Stephen and Ed it meant we could spend around an hour together, take some really great photos, have a chat and then I went off to do my other work and Stephen and Ed celebrated their wedding.
Back to the wedding itself, Stephen and Ed got married at Lothian Chambers Registry Office which if you follow this blog you will know I have photographed a lot of weddings there. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere it’s still a fantastic venue, very central, easy to get to and the local architecture is some of the most beautiful in the country.
Stephen and Ed were a pleasure to work with on the day and I really hope I can be a part of more weddings like this in the future.
