Lothian Chambers Spoon St Leonards Hall Wedding
Bit of an interesting blogpost to write today but just several weeks ago I was booked with 5 days notice to photograph a wedding at Lothian Chambers followed by a lunch at Spoon then an evening reception at St Leonards Hall. I didn’t ask much about what happened with the late booking but their wedding was absolutely lovely.
This wedding is really interesting for the above but also because the groom didn’t want me sharing any photos of him but thankfully Daniela didn’t mind. So my remit for the day was to take photos at Lothian Chambers and for once in the City of Edinburgh Suite. Lothian Chambers is only hosting weddings for a couple more months but on the day of their wedding it was super busy so we had very little time to take photos inside. After the ceremony we headed out, tooks loads of photos around St Giles then we headed off to Spoon, which is a lovely place.
St Leonards Hall
And this leads me on the evening reception at St Leonards Hall. I’ve photographed a couple weddings and receptions at St Leonards Hall and it’s one of those buildings that each time you go in you say “wow, this is absolutely beautiful”. Literally every time. I took some photos of the room setting, lots of people chatting and mingling then I took photos of the speeches.
And that’s it for this wedding. Marian, her husband, her father and all the guests were absolutely lovely. I took a tonne of photos, laughed a lot and really enjoyed their wedding.
Over the next couple weeks I’ve got another wedding to edit, two weddings to photograph, 2 essays, coursework to complete and exams coming at uni so I may be a bit quiet but I’ve still got tonnes of things to share this year. Stay tuned!
