Back in July I photographed a wedding at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel on the outskirts of Falkirk for Laura and Alistair (Ally). Even though I photographed this wedding several months ago and edited it a couple months ago it’s taken until now to blog it.
This was the first time I photographed a wedding at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and it was an interesting experience. Laura and Alistair were really nice to work with on the day and the staff seemed friendly enough but I wasn’t really impressed that they were hosting two weddings on the same day literally next door to each other. I understood from Alistair that they could have booked the hotel exclusively but it would have cost them more than a £1000. I completely understand hotels want to make money but the weddings seemed to be held at pretty much the same time so there was some crossover with the wedding parties.
Other than that I really enjoyed photographing their wedding. All of the guests I spoke to were really nice and I was really grateful to Laura and Ally for providing me with food. Weddings can be really long days and by the time everyone sits down for food I’m usually flagging so thank you again for the food. I must also mention the stunning weather we had on the day. 2013 has been a quiet year for myself with weddings but we’ve had the most stunning weather and every wedding this summer was an absolute joy to photograph.
Below is a small selection of photos taken on the day. Hope you like.
