Made Unboxed Property Photography. I’ve written before about how work can radically change as a photographer and it really is true for me. From October to roughly December last year I did loads of work for Deliveroo photographing restaurants all over Glasgow. I still do a lot of car photography and weddings and I’ve also been photographing quite a lot of food, as you’ll see from my last blog post, over the last few months.
One year ago I did a photoshoot for Made.com. Made sells bespoke furniture which isn’t too expensive but looks absolutely great and is completely functional. Made is very clever on the social media/promotion side of things in that they like people to send in photos of their products in people’s homes which they then share on social media and you can see what furniture looks like in a property rather than just a photo of a chair/bed/etc on a website.
As part of this, they do something called Made Unboxed which is where I’ve been hired to do work. My job has been to go to someone’s property and take not only photos of the products but also lifestyle shots, so a couple of photos of the most common rooms, a couple of photos of the customer and Made themselves interview the customer.
I did one shoot in Edinburgh last year at a really lovely property in the Goldenacre area of Edinburgh and this time I headed over to Fife to photograph a really stunning property for a really great couple. Neil and Will bought their property and spent considerable time and money expanding the property. The main part of the extension is the kitchen/sitting area which is quite amazing. This area has two kitchen centre consoles, three ovens, lovely couches, a log fire and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that let in an awesome amount of light.
The photo shoot took around two hours, I photographed a few rooms, photographed even more Made.com products and Neil and Will were a delight to meet and talk to. I also had the pleasure of meeting their son, who I won’t name, but was desperately cute and their wee dog.
As mentioned this was photographed in Fife but I have now moved to London. if you’re looking for a London property photographer, whether it be for photos, videos, floor plans, drone shots, VR tours, or a combination of some or all, please contact me here.
