Morar Hotel

London Airbnb photographer

London hotel photographer. In early 2021 I was contacted by a company based in Sri Lanka that had bought two hotels in the Scottish Highlands. One is called Onich, which you can view photos of here, and the other one is this hotel, the Morar Hotel.

Morar itself is about 1 hour west of Fort William and on a really clear day, you can see the Isles of Skye. The greatest attractions for this area are definitely the location within the highlands and it’s only about 40 minutes away from Glenfinnan Viaduct (featured in a very popular wizarding book and film series).

Right in front of the Morar is the silver sands beach which honestly is absolutely beautiful. Most beaches in the UK have yellow sand but on the right day, the silver sands beach look like Thai beaches.

I have to admit on the day I visited, which was the day after I photographed Onich, the weather was absolutely atrocious on the drive over. One of those “oh shit” drives because of course you hope for the best weather.

The weather quickly dried up, I took loads of photos inside and out of the hotel, as well as a number of drone shots, and by the time I left the weather was absolutely beautiful so I went to the other side of the beach to capture some photos and fly the drone.

This was a really fun and busy two days of work. I stayed in the Onich hotel the night before, drove the 2 hours over to Morar, and photographed the hotel and even though I was very kindly offered a stay in the Morar Hotel I really wanted to get back home. So 2 hours from Onich to Morar then 5 hours to drive home with a stop at Glenfinnan. To say I was tired the next day is an understatement but it was good fun.

As mentioned this was photographed in Morar but I’m based in Barnes, South West London (SW13). if you’re looking for a London hotel photographer, whether it be for photos, videos, floor plans, drone shots, VR tours, or a combination of some or all, please contact me here.
