Pentland Land Rover Jaguar E-Pace Launch
Jaguar E-Pace Launch
Pentland Land Rover Jaguar E-Pace launch. I’m a big fan of almost all the cars produced by Jaguar and Land Rover and one car I’ve been quite fascinated about seeing in person is the new Jaguar E-Pace, which is their new Sports Compact SUV (think an XE SUV). I’ve seen photos online and it looked great but Pentland Land Rover, which is the John Clark Group’s new Land Rover site at Fort Kinnaird, did an official reveal on Saturday so I popped over to take some photos.
The car was I believe delivered on the Friday evening and was only to stay on site for 24 hours. There was no official unveiling as such but when I arrived at 12pm the showroom was busy and there were a lot of people checking out the E-Pace. I’ve driven, through my car photography work, every single Land Rover/Range Rover and Jaguar model and two cars which I particularly like right now are the Range Rover Velar and the Jaguar F-Pace. Both are such lovely cars cars to sit in and drive so as soon as I get a chance I’m looking forward to having a go in the E-Pace.
Below are some photos of the Jaguar E-Pace in the new Pentland Land Rover showroom at Fort Kinnaird.
Pentland Land Rover Fort Kinnaird
As mentioned above the E-Pace was being unveiled at the new Pentland Land Rover site at Fort Kinnaird. I’d worked at the old Pentland Jaguar site on Glasgow Road for a few years, ever since it was taken over from Stratstone, but it was a really terrible space to work in but the new site at Fort Kinnaird looks great and is great to work in. From what I understand Jaguar Land Rover want all of their showrooms to incorporate both brands rather than have them in separate locations. I have no idea and no interest in what it will do for sales for the respective makes but the showroom does look good.
For the reveal on Saturday they brought in Bonnie Mountain Coffee who have converted a Land Rover Defender into a mobile coffee machine, which looks awesome. Bonnie Mountain Coffee cover all kinds of events and instead of just providing drinks in a single location, they can drive onto a sports course, go to the middle of nowhere and provide a hot drink. When I used to ride mountain bikes 20 years ago I’d often do 12 hour rides with friends into the middle of nowhere and sometimes we’d run out of drinks. Bonnie Mountain Coffee delivers an awesome idea.
I’ve said it to people in the car industry and to friends that Land Rover Defenders are absolutely horrific to drive, I truly hate driving them, but they look awesome. Even in Edinburgh which has it’s fair share of really expensive cars, you see an SVR or Range Rover Autobiography driving down the street and you don’t bat an eyelid, you see a Defender and you say “cool!”.
Anyway Bonne Coffee looked great. Pentland Land Rover also had catering in the form of canapès and pastries which was great. So the new showroom looks great and the new Jaguar E-Pace also look fantastic. I’d have one if I could afford one 🙂
