Rowantree Old Town Wedding
My first wedding of 2019 took place on the 12th January at the ever awesome Rowantree. I’ve written before about the Rowantree being an awesome venue, and it really is, but I was actually really pleased to shoot a wedding here so close after my winter holiday. Normally by mid evening I’m absolutely cooked in the Rowantree but having spent Christmas and New Year in Thailand and getting completely acclimatised to the climate there, the Rowantree was nothing. Warm but really comfortable.
But as mentioned here and elsewhere on this website the Rowantree is an awesome venue and just like all of the couples I’ve worked with at the Rowantree and the Caves, Stuart and Nicola, who are from the UK but live in Australia, were absolutely fantastic to work with.
Their wedding was really interesting to shoot as we did the outdoor photos before the ceremony. With it being the winter and no one wanting to get married in the morning we decided it would be best to do the outdoor couple photos before the wedding and this worked out perfectly. With it being so close to the New Year one spot I really like taking couple’s photos at was closed and we got shooed on from the gardens by Ramsay Gardens (by a grumpy old local) but we still managed to get a really great collection of photos not just outside but inside the venue as well.
As mentioned above, Stuart and Nicola were great. They were kind enough to feed me on the day, followed instructions perfectly and were super easy to work with. You can see more photos from their wedding on my dedicated wedding website; Joyful Weddings by clicking here but just wanted to share a few photos from the brilliant wedding. Really looking forward to capturing more weddings this year!
