Spatch
Spatch. A couple weeks ago I photographed three restaurants for the same company. The first I blogged about was The Newsroom at the top of Leith Street and I was really impressed with both the attitudes of the staff (everyone was really friendly), the decor and the food. The second restaurant I’m blogging about and the last one I photographed was Spatch at Hunter’s Square (just around the corner from Starbucks on the Royal Mile). Spatch specialise in charcoal fired chicken and I don’t know about you but I absolutely loved charcoal (basically bbq) fired chicken so I was excited to see and taste their menu.
My job with Spatch was the same as the other restaurant, take photos of the interior for their new website (not live yet), take photos of some cocktails and drinks then take photos of lots of food and lots of chicken). They do of course serve other dishes, the goats cheese salad looked great and had some haggis which was super delicious, and of course I tried some chicken.
They do various chicken wings challenges with different sauces; house bbq, sweet and spicy, buffalo and nuclear hot. One of the staff dared me to try the nuclear hot wings and despite a few f-words coming out of my mouth (they were really spicy, let’s say equivalent to Nando’s hottest flavour), they tasted really good.
