World Naked Bike Ride Edinburgh 2017
World Naked Bike Ride Edinburgh 2017. For my family and myself moving to Marchmont has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We’ve always been huge fans of Marchmont and it’s almost family like community (it’s super friendly in general) and when we realised we had to move within Edinburgh to the right catchment area for Amelia going to school, I found the right property in Marchmont for the right price and we had to move.
We’ve now been in Marchmont six months and we absolutely love it. The neighbours are super friendly, we have the best fishmongers in Edinburgh. Eddie’s Seafood Market, just around the corner, several really great greengrocers, Deadly Donuts (which serves the most awesome donuts) and we’re just a couple minute walk from Morningside which has dozens of really awesome local shops and cafes and we’re five minutes from Old Town, 10 from New Town. It’s a great great area.
Perhaps one of the best things about being in the area is living right on the doorstep of the Meadows. The Meadows hosts all kinds of events throughout the year from the Meadows Festival which we visited last week to Fringe events, many sports events and this year we checked out the annual World Naked Bike Ride.
Seriously, a naked bike ride?! Well yes, a naked bike ride, or you could call it almost naked bike ride. According to Scottish law (boo!) you can’t go fully naked, you need to cover up at least your private parts. I took Liv and Millie to watch the bike ride with me and I think they were expecting to see lots of boobies and willies but people still made an effort.
Unfortunately not a lot of people took part but it made us laugh and everyone that got involved looked like they really enjoyed themselves.

Some photos of World Naked Bike Ride Edinburgh 2017 and next week there’s a canal festival going on and I’ve got lots of weddings to update this website with and some new business ventures to announce. Lots of things going on as always!
