York Road Trinity Airbnb

A few months ago I was asked to photograph this really old and very interesting looking property along York Road, which lies in the Trinity area of Edinburgh. Edinburgh is full of really old properties and depending on which area they can be have really bad drafts and look generally awful. Then you get old properties which are really comfortable and look super cool like this one. This property is so old fashioned that it still has a really old cast iron oven built into one of the walls in the kitchen. This is a three bedroom property with a really big garden front and rear and while I wouldn’t decorate my property like this, it does have tonnes of charm and is very photogenic.

This property is available rent on Airbnb. I very rarely seem to photograph any properties in the Trinity area, which is a shame as it’s a really good area with some great properties. I actually wouldn’t mind living in this area as we’re completely not constrained to a catchment area. My family and I moved to Marchmont several years ago so my daughter could go to James Gillespie’s primary school, but sadly this so called top public school in Edinburgh turned out to be really awful, so my daughter now goes to a private school which is bloody expensive but absolutely awesome. So we don’t need to pay Marchmont’s stupid rates anymore and Trinity is a damn sight cheaper.
